On arrival at Amritsar,
Meet and Greet by the Tour Representative and transfer to Dharamsala. It is a
place that is profuse with picturesque locations and amazing vistas. You will
get a great peace of mind after visiting this place. Dharamsala (also spelled
Dharamshala) is known as the home of the Dalai Lama, but the untidy market town
where the buses pull in is actually Lower Dharamsala. The Tibetan spiritual
leader is based approx. 3km up the hill in Upper Dharamsala, also known as McLeod Ganj,
and that's where most visitors are heading. When people locally talk about
Dharamsala, they usually mean Lower Dharamsala. On arrival at Dharamsala, check
in to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure where you can explore the city
on your own. Overnight stay at Dharamsala Hotel.
After the lip-smacking breakfast, get yourself ready for the local sightseeing in Dharamshala as you visit St. John's Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Dalai Lama Monastery (Tsuglagkhang) and Cricket Ground (subject to Operation). Later visit the local market. Overnight stay at Dharamsala hotel.
After the breakfast, checkout of Dharamsala Hotel and drive to Dalhousie. With its plunging pine-clad valleys and distant mountain views, Dalhousie is another of those cool hill retreats left behind by the British. Today it survives as a relatively staid escape for honeymooners and families from the plains. Enroute visit Satdhara Falls and Panchpula. The word Panchpula means five bridges and it is the place where a descending stream flows and feeds several pools. Panchpula is the main stream that supplies water to cities of Dalhousie and Balloon. A monument has been built where several streams meet at Panchpula in the memory of Sardar Ajit Singh, who was a freedom fighter and uncle of Bhagat Singh. On the way to Panchpula is Satdhara, a union of seven tiny springs. Upon arrival at Dalhousie, transfer and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Dalhousie Hotel.
After breakfast visit Khajjiar. Khajjiar, a hill station in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, is touted as a 'mini-Switzerland'. Khajjiar was probably a glacial bowl formed during the last Himalayan ice age and left with the high-altitude Khajjiar Lake is surrounded by cedar forest. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop - Khajjiar sanctuary. Overnight stay at Dalhousie Hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the Dalhousie hotel and proceed to Amritsar. Founded in 1577 by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das, Amritsar is home to the spectacular Golden Temple, Sikhism's holiest shrine and one of India’s most serene and humbling sights. On arrival in Amritsar proceed to visit Indo-Pak, Attari Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. After the visit, return to Amritsar and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Amritsar Hotel.
After breakfast, check out from Amritsar hotel and visit the Golden Temple and Jalianwala Bagh. Later proceed to Amritsar Airport or Railway Station to board your flight or train to your Hometown or next destination with lots of memories to cherish for lifetime. Tour Ends...!!!
